Our Story

OUR STORY

Hi, I'm Ida, founder of Early Fliers.

This isn't just a business for me. It's deeply personal.

I'm a Swedish mom. My children’s dad is Latino. Our children are half-Hispanic - they carry both of our cultures, both of our languages.

Or at least, they should.

THE STRUGGLE

When my oldest son was 2 years old, he had significant speech delays. He wasn't speaking English. He wasn't speaking Spanish. He was barely speaking at all.

I did everything the experts said:
- Read to him daily since he was 4 months old
- Tried apps
- Tried traditional flashcards
- Spoke to him constantly in both languages

Nothing worked.

THE HEARTBREAK

The hardest part wasn't just watching him struggle. It was watching his abuela's heartbreak.

She would try to communicate with her grandson in Spanish. He would just stare. The language barrier between them was growing wider every day.

I felt like I was failing him. Failing to help him communicate. Failing to preserve his Hispanic heritage. Failing his grandmother who desperately wanted to connect with him.

The guilt was overwhelming.

THE BREAKTHROUGH

Then we discovered multi-sensory learning.

Not just reading. Not just listening. But learning through sight, sound, AND touch.

Talking flashcards that he could control. That pronounced words clearly in both languages. That engaged him in a way nothing else had.

Within weeks, everything changed.

He started speaking. First a few words. Then more. Then full sentences.

The day he said "abuela" clearly for the first time, we all cried.

THE MISSION

That breakthrough changed our lives.

But it also showed me something important: there are thousands of families struggling just like we were.

Mixed-heritage families watching their children lose a language.

Parents of children with speech delays, desperate for something that works.

Grandparents unable to communicate with grandchildren.

Families who can't afford expensive speech therapy.

That's why I created Early Fliers.

Not to build a business.

To give other families the breakthrough we found.

TODAY

Early Fliers now helps 10,000+ families across the United States.

Every day, I hear stories from parents whose children are finally speaking. From abuelas who can now talk to their grandchildren. From families preserving their heritage.

But our mission goes beyond those who can afford our products.

As Early Fliers grows, we're committed to helping children with speech delays and mixed-heritage families preserve their languages - regardless of their family's income.

Every purchase brings us closer to making that vision a reality.

THE PROMISE

If you're a parent of a bilingual child who isn't talking yet...

If you're worried about speech delays...

If you feel the pressure of preserving a heritage language...

If you're watching your child lose connection to half of their identity...

I see you. I WAS you.

And I'm here to help.

Con todo mi corazón,
